Help Portrait is this Saturday!!!

I’m so incredibly excited for this Saturday!!  I love the holiday giving season and my favorite event takes place on December 10!  Help-Portrait is an amazing movement that takes place all over the world.  On Saturday, 1000’s of photographers will come together in countless countries and cities after months of planning to volunteer their time and talent by photographing, printing and delivering photos to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to be photographed.

This year the Minneapolis group will be photographing at two different places – High School for the Recording Arts (read all about it here!) and Treehouse.  I will be stationed at Treehouse, which is a faith-based organization offering hope, guidance, and unconditional love to at-risk teens dealing with tough issues.  I will be working with another photographer to capture smiles and edit photos in one of the photo bays there.  Each young person will then receive a disk of some of the images we captured as well as their fav printed and framed.  It’s going to be such a great time.  I simply cannot wait!!

I’ll be posting a follow up soon after Saturday of a break down of the day, share the stories and show off some of the beautiful faces that’ll be there!  Stay tuned for that!
